[Well after nearly murdering Rang with his bare hands and also being distressed at their overlords, Kaveh is here!! He's probably just. Sitting somewhere and sketching something with a tiny IKEA pencil and notecard or something. He looks up when Buzen approaches and gives him a small, tired smile.]
[HELP I'm losing it they truly had the same reaction, nyoomin around to check on people. Kaveh's mostly finished, though; the weight of what's happened is starting to catch up to him, so he's relieved by Buzen's presence.
He shakes his head and tries for a small, reassuring smile.]
No, I'm alright. As far as I know, the rest of us were safe.
[He is here, post-trial!! He left pretty quickly after everything wrapped up, but he's just out here at the park, sitting down and looking up at the sky. When Buzen comes over, he straightens up a little.]
he woke up today with an urge. just - an Urge. and it's strange, because this urge drags him away from matsui pretty purposefully and combats with a different feeling - but buzen is nothing if not a person who chases impulses. so he starts racing around, looking for kaveh.
high, low. around the old locations, the new ones. he probably actually loses an hour, just running around and not quite finding him. somehow he always turns the corner right before he catches a sight of blonde hair, or gets just out of earshot before he can hear his voice.
it's as he's exiting the cathedral and leaving catholicism behind that he catches sight of kaveh - and even buzen is a little out of breath at this point. but it doesn't stop him from grinning and greeting:]
[Kaveh is not so quick to notice, nor to react--partly because he's distracted for Reasons unrelated to Buzen, and partly because... well. He knows himself. Knows that he slips so easily into being needy the second he's formed a positive relationship, to the point where he has to keep an iron grip on his behavior lest his worst fears come true. His first instinct, when he notices that odd pull, is to push it down and assume that it's his own ever-present yearning for genuine companionship.
But as the day goes on, it gets harder and harder to ignore. He catches glimpses of green and red and finds himself turning, but it's never quite what he's looking for. He finds himself wandering toward the parks, the warehouses--anywhere that he's spent time with Buzen before, or that he thinks, based on his limited knowledge, that Buzen might like. Normally, he'd give up after a while, or think to send a message. But the tug is too distracting, and he finds himself wandering with ever-more-determined focus until, finally, they spot each other.
Thankfully, Buzen's words put him at ease before he can tense up and think to dredge up some excuse. Being in the same vicinity also quickly begins to ease the desperate pull. Between those things, and Buzen's general easygoing nature, he's able to wave and return Buzen's smile with a true one of his own.]
[luckily, so long as buzen is around, kaveh never has to worry about seeming over-eager. not when buzen's the one who's all but racing to close the distance between the two of them, some of that weird urge subsiding. he's still not really sure what that is - he'll maybe examine it later if he remembers? but for right now, he's just eager and pleased to find just the person that he was looking for.]
Eh, really? Lucky! Was there something you wanted to talk about?
[that'd be the normal reason to seek someone out, right? though buzen seems to manage some level of self-awareness, instead just laughing.]
I don't have anything, in case you're wondering... Just wanted to see you.
[imagine having any shame, or worry about how words sound when they come out of your mouth.]
[Why did Kaveh go investigating... was he running from his embarrassing brain scramblies yesterday..... maybe.......
But Red String Pull Too Strong and... well. He's pretty sure Buzen won't give him too hard of a time, especially after... that news. So he stops what he's doing and opens the door, slipping outside.]
It's alright. I'm--[...He can't say fine. What's the point of saying fine?]--I'm not happy about this at all, but... I'm more worried about his team.
[STOP DON'T RUN FROM YOUR OWN WAREHOUSE YOU STUPID GOLDEN RETRIEVER
Seeing him doesn't actually make Kaveh feel any better, even with the red string pull lessening, but that's not surprising. It's not Buzen's fault, after all--it's just how he is.
Even so, he sighs, pushing forward until he can stand with his arm against Buzen's. It's the most he can manage when he still feels like a piece of paper that was crumpled up and then fished back out of the trash can and spread out again. EMOTIONAL HANGOVER.]
I'm still mad at you. [He says that, but there's no actual heat behind it; his anger's mostly gone, and what's left of it isn't really directed at Buzen or his team.]
[ONE LAST BUZEN FOR THE ROAD (face_holding_back_tears)
Hilariously, Buzen can find him... with his sword out! He's ready to do a murder finally!!!! No just kidding. But he is actually in the park and swinging his sword--going through some kind of practice forms, apparently, though there's... emotion there, too. Grief, and some anger, too. He doesn't seem to notice Buzen's approach, lost in thought.]

That’s good… I heard from Nahi-chan you were with Hika-san before though.

I’m sorry you lost a comrade, Kaveh-san.

Is Matsui doing okay?

Alright enough. It was a lot for him, but I think it was a lot for all of us.
no subject
Yeah. I know the rulebook mentioned this would happen, but... I've never been through anything like that before.

Kaveh-san...! It's Buzen. Ah, I don't have to stay long, I just... wanted to make sure you weren't feeling too bad.

[he glances elsewhere, like something suddenly caught his attention the same way a ball would distract a dog
and then he glances back to kaveh]
... There's a lot of mysteries I'd like solved.
