You would think so, wouldn't you? [But SOME PEOPLE think it's FUNNY, COUNT D!!! Tch. But Kaveh doesn't get riled up again, thankfully.
He does sigh, though.]
...Unfortunately, it would be naive to think he's the only one who feels the way he does, too. Especially since we don't have much choice but to believe those three are telling the truth.
[Kaveh's an advocate for humanity, but... he's not stupid, either. People want to live, and he isn't surprised some of them will kill to do it. He's just... unhappy, really, with the whole thing.]
Yes. [...] It's also... it asks so much of people, you know? Forcing them to decide between permanent erasure, or life at the cost of others' existences. The survivors will have to carry that burden for the rest of their lives.
[And Kaveh already has so much survivor's guilt. This is the worst possible scenario, really.]
[ . . . well. he looks thoughtful for a little bit longer]
People will come to their own conclusions, I guess. You can only play the game in a way that you decide... that you can live with after, if you do win. Or if you don't win, then knowing you did what you could.
Do you feel like you have to choose one way or another, Kaveh-san? Erase or be erased...?
I'd like to think that's not what it will come down to. But I can't imagine why those three would lie to us.
[So... is that not what their choice is, ultimately?]
Don't get me wrong--if there's some way to help everyone here, I'll pursue that, of course. But I don't want to pin all my efforts on something that may ultimately prove impossible, and end up helping no one.
Well, they've trapped us in this small area. And they made it very clear we won't be speaking with the person in charge of all of this. So... if I can't get in contact with them to try and work out some way to get everyone out of here, then the least I can do is make sure Nahida makes it.
Mm... I was already planning on trying but - let me know if I can help with that at all, yeah? Though that means someone's also gotta help look after you....
I-- [HOW DOES HE SAY HE'D FEEL GUILTY WITHOUT ACTUALLY SAYING IT] --isn't there someone here you know from home? You should be focusing your energy him, no?

I mean, anyone would get pretty upset at those questions being asked that way, right? You probably said what a lot of people were thinking.
[based on the number of +1s out there, dang]

... but it's still kinda disappointing to think about, right? Like if we could get through all this without bloodshed, it'd be nice.
But given what's on the line... well, of course some people are gonna get desperate. No one wants their existence to be put into question.
[lol. buzen is not lol but i, dana, lol. you know why]

It must be hard. Getting caught between wanting to help everybody, and then having to wonder if you should help yourself.

That being said--]
Mostly, I have to make sure Nahida makes it back to Sumeru. If she had her normal abilities, I wouldn't have to worry as much.
[What do you do when god is nerfed!!!]
no subject
[tilting his head]
Do you feel like you have to protect her for the sake of your whole country? That's a lot of responsibility you're putting on yourself, Kaveh-san...
no subject
[It's vital that she get back to Sumeru, of course--but that's not his driving motivation.
He just shrugs a little, though.]
...It may be the only thing I can do.
no subject
What do you mean by that...?

I can see why Nahi-chan likes you so much.
no subject
She's dealt with some terrible things--more than her fair share. She's done so much for Sumeru--she deserves to be looked after.
no subject
I'll do that too.
no subject
Oh no--you don't have to do that.
no subject
[he's clearly teasing but also,
kaveh,]

[he's iq stupid but eq smart, so he has to say it,]
Matsu will always come first for me. That's true.
But I think you of all people are proof that it's possible to have room in your heart for more than one, right?
no subject
Well... that's, um. Very kind of you, then.
no subject
Guess so?
In the end I think there's more kind people here than not.
