But oh, that's right--Rin had mentioned Haru's an artist. Kaveh's gaze softens for a moment as he remembers before he turns his attention to the varnishes.]
I don't see why you couldn't give it a try. It handles differently than charcoal, of course, but innovation is the product of research and experimentation.
[ maybe kaveh has tender feelings in the moment because rin didn't mention the part where haru, while very good at art, often only draws deeply cursed things ]
Hm... [ he considers it before twisting the top off one of the little varnish bottles. ] Yeah. It's worth a try.
You're an artist, right? [ the most important part of kaveh's profile is that he can swim, but haru vaguely recalls mentions of art in there too. ]
[That's fair. Kaveh is not a cop and frankly also lost his urge to be nice to the shadow people's spaces after the security guard accused him of breaking the statue]
Yes, that's right. Mostly I design them, but I've done work in other aspects of the field as well.
[ kaveh is never going to let this security guard live it down and he's right
but that's cool. kaveh has like, a real job. he feels like most of the older people here are just "adventurers" or whatever? it makes him seem like a real adult. ]
What do you think of the buildings here? [ is the mish-mash of cultures and time periods a headache or is it interesting ]
[Me coming back to old, happy threads but I'm dead inside]
Well, it would be remiss of me to say it's not all extremely interesting, since the architectural styles in this place are completely different from what I'm used to. My world runs on elemental energy, and our technology makes use of that in a very different way than anything I've found here. As for this area in particular--I can't say I would design anything in this style, but consistency is vital to creating a cohesive space, and simplicity has its own benefits. I'd love to take a closer look at their materials--it would help me understand why they made some of the choices they did.
[Since wood isn't just wood, stone isn't just stone, and so on.]
w2 ; mon
they do have nail varnish though? ]
...Wonder if you could use these as regular paint.

Kaveh is doing his best to stay out of Emotions range, because the last person who needs to deal with his issues is Haru--but he does peer over.]
What? What do you mean?

I'm tired of paying for paint. [ maybe he could draw with nail polish instead?? probably not ] But this is just for nails, isn't it...

An architect. But yes, I enjoy doing art in my spare time.

An architect... so you work on buildings?

IT REALLY IS SO FUNNY THOUGH. He's such a normie by genshin standards... didn't even show up in his own archon questline... we stan a relatable king.]
Are you sure you want to hear my thoughts? It's a little hard for me to stop when I get going.

he nods. ]
I asked because I was curious. [ he doesn't really do small talk. please go ahead and nerd out. ]
