[Livio can come find him! Kaveh's not in hiding; he's out at the cross memorial, actually, a notebook on his lap and Mehrak beside him, projecting a bunch of green lines. He still kind of looks like shit, because sometimes you have to watch a really gay vore execution hungover, but at least he's not, like, a total wreck. On the outside, anyway.
But he always wants Livio's company; he glances up from his work, then straightens, giving him a little nod.]
How's Nahri doing?
[Like. Bad, probably, he knows that--but he wants to check in anyway.]
[Both states are bad, but--not alarmingly so, at least. He mostly just looks wrung out, like he could probably use a nap.]
That's good.
[That she wasn't alone, he means.
He looks down at his notebook; the page is filled with notes, lines, and partially-finished sketches.]
Maybe I'll draw her something. [...] Not today.
[The wound is probably too fresh, still. Something like the funeral rites--that's probably better for her right now. A goodbye that she couldn't say in person.]
[They're probably hard to understand since it's a lot of math, mostly, but Livio can read some detailed notes about ways to convert desert sand into usable material, as well as a few comments (with a bunch of question marks) about pulling water from air. One of the sketches looks like an oval-shaped building.
IT REALLY DOES, THOUGH, HELP. OUR SUNDAY.]
Are you going to do the... [He doesn't know if he knows what it's called, actually] prayers, today?
[ oh, livio is actually very touched by this. it shows in his face, because he looks a bit emotional. and let's be real, no man's land needs all the help it can get ] Thank you...
I can't promise anything, of course. There was only so much I could glean from Vash and Wolfwood's simulations, and Teyvat runs entirely on elemental energy, so anything I can come up with will likely need some major adjustments to be truly effective. But Wolfwood said that Vash might know people who could make use of my notes and ideas, and they both mentioned that plants aren't really sustainable, so...
[He lifts one shoulder in a shrug.]
It wouldn't feel right not to try. I know I can't fix everything, but it's still your home.
[And he has a lot of big feelings about homes being warm, safe, loving spaces, so. He cares too much about the three of them to just sit on his hands and look away, not that he's that kind of person to begin with. (Which, as some would say, is why he gets himself into so much shit.)]

Dunno exactly.... but Vash was with her during the execution. So she wasn't alone.
[ and frankly wolfwood would not have been good at comforting ]
I think she might be come with us, today. [ for funeral... ]

Ya trying to get something set up in yer desert...?
[ livio very charmed by this. but he nods. prayers is fine ]
Yeah. Even if the rule wasn't there, we'd do it every Sunday. Ya want to come along..?

[Kaveh is insecure and awkward about some things, but his work is not one of them, so he doesn't mind saying this.
But he nods.]
If you'll have me.
