[Ah... well. Kaveh himself is no stranger to nightmares, so if Hikari's sleep seems troubled, then he'll certainly intervene. Hikari looks half-asleep still, so Kaveh greets him with a gentle smile and tone.]

Do you need help getting back to your room?

[he glances around, as recognition dawns on him, and then down at the book he was faceplanted in, and then at Kaveh.]

Ah, no... Apologies for the disturbance. Did you need something...?

No, no, not at all. It's just that you'll hurt your neck if you sleep like that for too long--trust me, I've done it enough times to know.

... Right, you are correct. I did not intend to fall asleep.

At least Kaveh is a nice nerd, unlike Alhaitham!!! So he's gonna hang around to make sure Hikari gets to where he needs to go and all that.]

It happens. What were you researching? You can take some of these books with you if you need to, I'm sure.

Numerous subjects, really. There is a trove of knowledge here that is less readily available or undiscovered in my world, and while I am no scholar myself, my hope is that some of it may be useful for the people when I return.

[there's a variety of titles, and while it might be hard to 100% gleam the contents from those alone, they seem to be about health, construction, tech, life in the desert, etc.]

That's noble of you. [He sounds genuine, and his smile is, too. He looks over the books on the table, eyes lingering, predictably, on the construction and tech books, and though it's clear from his face he wants to strike up a conversation about them, he doesn't ask. Only because Hikari is sneepy...] You know, now that you've said it, I think I'd like to do the same. Maybe once we've both gotten some rest, we can reconvene here? If it wouldn't bother you, that is.

[hikari starts grabbing books, with maybe the air of someone trying to lowkey speed-gather them before kaveh can help him.]

But I am residing in the "Stork Suite".

Unfortunately for Hikari, awkward like recognizes awkward like... but Kaveh is gracious, so he doesn't try too hard to steal Hikari's reading stack. He does grab a few books, though, because he's still determined to be helpful.]

I don't think I've met anyone else from that suite yet. How is it, staying there?

I fear I am not well-acquainted with the others staying there, but I certainly have no reason to complain about their company.

He absolutely could! Listen, if you somehow end up sharing a suite with Alhaitham, do not let him leave his books and coffee cups everywhere. Tell him you won't stand for it!

[Which is a little unfair, because Alhaitham has always known how to interact with people--he just rarely chooses to do so unless it suits him.

Tch... typical. [WHY IS HE OFFENDED.] Listen, I won't say that's wrong--there certainly are people in the world who take advantage of others, and you should take care of yourself. But don't let that put you off from helping people, either.
