[He looks surprised for a minute, before he remembers that they come from very different worlds.]
They're both good. Tahchin is made with rice and meat--usually fowl or fish that's been marinated in a yogurt sauce. When you bake it, the outside of the rice gets crispy, but the meat doesn't dry out. Fatteh's just bread with a certain type of beans and yogurt sauce--you can do whatever you want with it, really. It's one of my favorite dishes.
I know, it's a shame. I haven't even seen anything in the stores we could use. [He wouldn't have thought to buy the stove even if he could have because he doesn't know what modern stoves are]
No, not quite like this. But it's the closest thing we have to the foods I've seen here--they have dishes like pancakes. And bolognese--I've never tried it, but it looks similar to that "spaghetti" dish.
[Hilariously the foods he mentioned are real things, which I learned by complete accident while googling to double-check the spelling]
Hah, very true. I could hardly rattle off every single type of Snezhnayan cuisine. [He mostly knows about Mondstadt food because it suits his palette anyway] I wouldn't say I'm that picky, but it would be nice to have something a little more familiar, even just a good stew.
Yes, that makes sense. [Sometimes you just don't question hair color things.] Well, regardless, we might as well take advantage of what we've got, especially since it's free.

Man, they should really give us a grocery store and kitchens. Think about how many cool foods I could be trying from everyone else's worlds!

[He is absolutely willing to take advantage of free food tbh. It's their compensation for emotional distress.]
I haven't actually tried the food at the new restaurant--as long as we don't pay for it, it should be fine, right?

... Although I'm sure there are lots of foods in my own world I've never heard of, so... Maybe not.

... It's hard not to feel homesick for the little stuff.

It is. [He sighs.] I can't complain too much about this area, though.
[It has a library and he's a nerd... it's not a studio or workshop but it'll do...]

Now I don't have to worry about my roots growing in. [ that was not a high priority, but, ]
