It's Thursday. Being able to heal is important, and healing takes a lot of energy, and you can only so much in one day. Sorry to say something creepy like a serial killer would, but Lambda lasted so long because she was able to keep healing herself for a long time... it's like that.

If someone comes after me, none of my injuries would slow me down in a fight. So it would be stupid to have someone less able to defend themselves than me do something that would slow them down.

[(Un?)fortunately, it's exactly the kind of logic Kaveh would use--and it does make sense, besides. It's a certainty, at this point, that at least one person is going to die tonight; Kaveh can imagine, without much difficulty, the sort of guilt and pain it would leave behind, were the victim to be a person who otherwise should've been able to heal themselves.
