[Hey wow hey wow this sucks!! Ylfa's one of the first people he goes to track down; sometimes you wake up confused and panicked and you forget texting is a thing.]

Ylfa! Are you okay?

[that's fair. she's sort of wandering around pacing a bit like she's looking for clues, on edge without seeming too distraught.]

...Hey, Kaveh. I'm sorry about your teammate.

[He looks her over, checking for any signs of injury, any distress--when he's satisfied she seems okay, he relaxes, if only a little.]

Yes, me too. [It hardly feels real, still. Though he knows it will soon.] ...He was right there with us. We didn't wake up at all.

You were in McDonalds with Rin?

[no sighs of injury and not really that much distress, either. tense, but more in the way of someone who's ready for a fight than someone who's afraid.]

Must be a spell of some kind, then.

Yes. He was there with the four of us--I think he and Hikari went there together. I'm not sure. [The rest of them it was just coincidence.

But he looks troubled.] ...I didn't think it would be like this.

[He's not surprised that it happened--but he did think they'd have the chance to keep an eye out for each other.]

I didn't think so, either. I thought I could stay awake and protect my team.

Me too. [He sighs softly. Hikari's loss hurts, and it's difficult to think ahead, but he has to.] We'll have to get creative.

[she is going to give him a hug because he seems very down.]

[That's completely fair and valid. This is his daughter and he will allow it, mostly because he thinks she kind of needs it too.]
